Using graphite rubbing to capture a texture.

We took rubbings using graphite and plain paper to capture the different textures of objects. Some of the textures that we captured include embossed text, a telephone key pad and key holes. The advantage of capturing a texture this way, instead of creating it in Photoshop, is that this method gives a unique effect and depth that cannot be replicated within Photoshop.
